RAVANA

Ravana is the king of the rakshasas, a warrior, a scholar, and a devotee of Shiva. His consort is Mandodari. He is traditionally depicted with ten heads, symbolizing his vast knowledge and intellectual abilities. Despite his wisdom and spiritual accomplishments, his pride, ambition, and attachment to power ultimately lead to his downfall. His abduction of Sita sets in motion the great conflict with Ram.
