Self-Inquiry

Self-Inquiry is the practice of turning attention toward the nature of the self and investigating the question of who or what we truly are. In the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, this practice is known as Atma Vichara and centers on the question, "Who am I?" Rather than seeking an intellectual answer, self-inquiry encourages direct observation of thoughts, identity, and awareness in an effort to discover what lies beneath the changing sense of self.
