LAKSHMI
Lakshmi is revered as the embodiment of prosperity, abundance, beauty, and good fortune. She is part of the Tri-Devi, along with Parvati and Saraswati. Devotees honor her not only for material wealth but also for the blessings of wisdom, generosity, spiritual growth, and inner fulfillment. Lakshmi is often depicted seated or standing on a lotus flower, symbolizing purity, grace, and spiritual awakening. Her presence represents the flow of blessings that support both worldly success and a virtuous life. She remains a powerful symbol of abundance, compassion, and the divine grace that nurtures and sustains all life. An earlier form of Lakshmi appears in the Rigveda as Sri, a personified goddess of beauty, auspiciousness, fertility, and abundance and consort of Vishnu. It is said that Lakshmi descends to earth in different forms whenever her consort Vishnu incarnates. Since Vishnu appeared as Ram in the Ramayana, Lakshmi appeared as Sita. When Vishnu manifested as Krishna in the Mahabharata, she manifested as Rukmini.
