HANUMAN

Hanuman is a Hindu deity — a divine, monkey-faced vanara celebrated for extraordinary strength, wisdom, and unwavering faith. He embodies complete devotion to Ram and stands as a symbol of service, courage, loyalty, and trust in the divine even in the face of great challenges. Endowed with powers such as flight and shapeshifting, Hanuman is regarded as the son of the wind god Vayu and, in some traditions, an incarnation of Shiva. He is considered a chiranjivi (immortal) and is widely worshipped for his selfless service and steadfast faith, which inspires devotees to move through life with devotion and inner strength.

HANUMAN EYES

The Hanuman Temple in Taos, New Mexico, located within the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram, is a spiritual center dedicated to Hanuman and the teachings of Neem Karoli Baba. At its heart is a large Hanuman murti that is especially revered for its powerful presence and expressive form. The statue was brought from India through the efforts of the spiritual leader, Ram Dass, a key disciple of Neem Karoli Baba who helped bring wider awareness of these teachings to the West.
