SKULL BONES SIDE VIEW

The bones of the skull, a side view of the different bones that make up the head. The skull is divided into separate bones to allow for infant birth, rapid brain growth, and shock absorption. Instead of a single rigid helmet, these bones are locked together like a puzzle by fibrous joints called sutures. Understanding how the body works increases physical awareness, helping us better protect and care for the bodies we inhabit.
