RAJA YOGA
In Raja Yoga, Swami Vivekananda presents the teachings of yoga as a systematic path toward greater awareness and realization of the Self. Drawing particularly from Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, he discusses meditation, concentration, the mind, spiritual discipline, and the possibilities of human consciousness. Vivekananda explains yoga not simply as physical exercise but as a means of exploring the inner world and discovering one's deeper nature. First published in the late nineteenth century, the book helped introduce the philosophical and meditative traditions of yoga to a Western audience who read Raja Yoga.
