Ramana Maharshi taught that God, Guru, and the Self are ultimately one and the same reality viewed from different perspectives. The Guru helps guide the seeker inward, encouraging them to look beyond thoughts, roles, and personal identity to discover their true nature. Rather than giving something new, the Guru points to what has always been present—the awareness at the core of our being. From this perspective, the spiritual path is a journey from looking outside ourselves for truth and fulfillment to recognizing the divine presence within.
