Sri Ramana Maharshi taught that  the ultimate divine reality (God), the spiritual guide (Guru), and one's true inner being (Self/Atman) are all the same non-dual essence; therefore identical.  The Guru guides the devotee inward until the seeker realizes their own inherent divinity, dissolving the perceived separation. It's a journey from external devotion to internal realization, where the Guru acts as a catalyst, revealing the Self as the true, ever-present God within.
